New Section Planned for
Announcing Visiting Speakers
Those who wish to submit items to be considered for this new section, expected to start in mid-September, should send a brief description (maximum 200 words) of the event, including the date, time, and location; the topic of the presentation; and the speaker's name, title, outstanding accomplishments and, if available, a headshot photo to: Visiting Speaker, Advance, 1266 Storrs Road, Storrs, CT 06269-4144 or by e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org , with Visiting Speaker in the subject line. Color photos are preferred.
Depending on the space available, the information will be published one to two weeks prior to the date of the event, and must be received by 4 p.m. on Monday, one week prior to the date on which it will be published. Preference will be given to announcing speakers whose presentations are of interest to a cross-section of the University community.
This service will be in addition to the Calendar that regularly appears on page 7 and advertises events taking place during the week beginning on the day of publication.
