The South Park Inn Medical Clinic was founded and is staffed by students from the School of Medicine. The clinic offers free health care to residents of the South Park Inn's homeless shelter and transitional living program. About two-thirds of all current medical students participate in the clinic. The students open the clinic twice a week for 50 weeks of the year and see approximately 20 patients each week. Oversight is provided by about 20 physicians, and pharmaceutical companies donate many supplies.
